Membership means a lot to us at openEHR…
As a non-profit organisation, we rely on the financial and in-kind contributions of our community of supporters including Partners, supporting Organisations, as well as Individual and Professional members. These contributions enable openEHR to produce and maintain specifications, clinical models and educational materials, and to support open source software development. They also make it possible for us to promote openEHR activities, programs and new initiatives, and of course to maintain our own professional memberships and accreditations and ensure we comply with industry guidelines and regulations.
The invaluable support of our Members, Partners and the wider openEHR community forms part of a collective effort to bring about constructive change and improvement through the creation of open, vendor-neutral platforms for electronic health records and computable clinical and research data. Participation in the openEHR community via discussion forums, access to the openEHR specifications, CKM, templates and archetypes is free to all. Together, we are furthering our shared vision of life-long, patient-centric EHRs; enabling accountable information sharing for the benefit of the healthcare, research and education sectors, and improving outcomes for patients, one step at a time.
In collaboration with our valued community, openEHR provides tools and resources that organisations can use to develop their own EHR systems, integrate openEHR standards into existing systems or enhance interoperability. Participation in the openEHR community via discussion forums including Discourse, access to the openEHR specifications, CKM, templates and archetypes is free to all. However, if you choose to become a Member or Partner, you will enjoy a number of benefits. Depending on the type of membership you choose, benefits include the right to:
- Nominate board members and vote in elections
- Promote your products and services on our website
- Join our program committees and contribute to openEHR activity
- Network with industry experts and participate in collaborative projects and initiatives.
Above all, openEHR members are part of a collective effort to improve the quality and accessibility of health information for the benefit of all. If you use openEHR but have not yet become a member, you can find all the information you need on our membership page.
