Education Program

Heather is a consultant terminologist, data and EHR implementation specialist and educator at Global eHealth Collaborative (GEHCO) in Australia. Her background is in digital health education: she works in academic and vocational training for organisations, professional bodies and governments around the world, helping with practical, safe, future-focused system design and implementation and workforce skills. She has held leadership positions with HL7 International, ISO TC 215 Health Informatics (Information Governance and Semantic Content), ISO TC 249 Traditional Chinese Medicine, and SNOMED International (education).

Hanna is a healthcare IT consultant at her own company, Rosaldo Oy. She has worked in 30 countries across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia, specialising in large regional and national eHealth projects. She advises on healthcare information systems and IT architectures, vendor-neutral archiving, data sharing (XDS, openEHR), shared workflow, data privacy and security, and cross-border eHealth services, with particular experience in benchmarking, procurement strategies and roadmaps, cost-benefit analysis, quality assurance and change management. Before consultancy she worked in research in the UK and Finland, in hospitals and in healthcare financing, and represented Finland on eHealth at the European Commission.

Rosaldo Oy

Johan Gustav has worked where medicine, medical research and informatics meet since 1992, when he joined the Department of Community Medicine at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, where he later earned his master’s (1997) and PhD (2006) in computer science. He has worked at the Norwegian Centre for Telemedicine at the University Hospital of North Norway since 1997, and taught on the international master’s programme in telemedicine and e-health from 2007 to 2013. He is now Professor of Medical Informatics at UiT and the Norwegian Centre for E-health Research, researching privacy-preserving reuse of health data and learning healthcare systems. He has contributed to more than 100 scientific publications and is Chief Research Informatics Officer for PraksisNett, the Norwegian primary care research network, leading its IT infrastructure.

Jan is a senior marketing professional specialising in healthcare innovation and strategic marketing, with a track record of driving international digital health innovations. He created the Masterclass openEHR and the Masterclass openEHR TOP webinars. His expertise spans strategic marketing, digital strategy and market development in the Dutch and European healthcare markets, with a particular focus on data availability and openEHR.

David is a computer engineer with a PhD from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), and CTO and consultant on semantic interoperability and eHealth standards at openEHR Industry Partner VeraTech for Health. Since 2005 he has focused on the practical use of standards and terminologies such as openEHR, ISO 13606, HL7 CDA, HL7 FHIR, CDISC ODM, SNOMED CT and LOINC, taking part in more than 30 projects and publishing more than 50 papers, including his PhD thesis on archetype development and governance methodologies. He has taught semantic interoperability and EHR standards on master’s programmes at UPV and the University of Alcalá, and has trained more than 500 clinical and technical professionals.
