Description:

North Thames GMC set up an interoperability infrastructure based on openEHR to more easily collect phenotype data from all the trusts that participate in the 100,000 genome project.

North Thames GMC’s use Better Platform and tools to set up a vendor-neutral clinical data repository that will store the phenotype data from all the participating NHS Trusts (up to 13).

Genomics England is working with NHS England (NHSE), Public Health England (PHE), Health Education England (HEE) and NHS Trusts
The mission of the organisation is focused on combining clinical and whole genome sequencing data in rare disease, cancer, and infection with the goal to make UK the first ever country to introduce this technology in its mainstream health system.
